millar & hitch's politically-charged ultimates storyline was bastardized outright by the idiotic & just plain dumb ultimates 3 by jeph loeb & joe mad. I mean I dig joe mad's art and all, but man, he really can't do a decent follow-up to hitch's art you know, he doesn't fit the book. And Jeph Loeb, wow... he matched joe mad's art, it was like reading scott lobdell's uncanny xmen all over again.

LoL.. I'll have to agree with you on just about everything you said. The moment I heard that Ultimates 3 was going to be done by a different team, I immediately thought they'd be hard pressed to top or even equal the Millar-Hitch tandem. I lowered my expectations considerably, but nothing could have prepared me for the SUCKFEST that is issue #1. *sigh*.. at least there's Ultimate Iron Man to cheer me up.. ^_^

i didn't know he was omni-weapons capable like bullseye, damn. just one of those stories that MAKE you respect a character. like quicksilver, or bucky, or the overdone batman.
