for everyone

SUPERBOY-PRIME GOES ON A DIVA TANTRUM, MASSACRES THE GL CORPS AND BEATS KAL-L TO DEATH

"You'll never be Superman. Because you have no idea what it means to be Superman... It's not about where you were born, or what powers you have, or what you wear on your chest. It's about what you do, it's about action"-Kal-El to Supeboy-Prime

INFINITE CRISIS #7
Crazed and Delusional, Superboy-Prime flies toward Oa bent on starting a chain reaction that would lead to a new Big Bang. Kal-El & Kal-L tried to stop him by driving him through the core of Rao (Krypton's sun). Landing on Mogo with their powers diminished, they went mano a mano a mano, and the final battle in Infinite Crisis took place. Unfortunately, this plan came at the price of Kal-L's life.

sad. it's really good but so sad. these are one of the few moments where i leave my Marvel way of living and take a peek at the DC side of the fence.

Superboy Prime had the best cover in Infinite Crisis... But Infinite Crisis is the reason I left DC and shifted to Marvel.

I wanted to like prime's character but it's just too ridiculous. And I can't ever look at him without remembering the awesomely gay wall-punching incident.

When I picked up the latest Teen Titans revival by Geoff Johns, I thought he just ripped off Marv Wolfman's 1980s premise. He didn't fail to disappoint me.

And when I heard he's gonna do Infinite Crisis, I thought: Hey! Didn't Marv Wolfman write the original Crisis on Infinite Earths? So, I didn't pick up John's so-called sequel. I still consider Dan Jurgens' Zero Hour THE real sequel frankly because he didn't just rip off Marv Wolfman's storyboard and re-used characters in the original Crisis. And he used some original new characters.

Also, the JLA vs. Avengers crossover storyline was more like the real sequel to the original Crisis than Geoff Johns' version. Sad to say, Kurt Busiek just doesn't cut it for me with plotting and dialogues.

In short, I wasn't impressed with this Infinite Crisis. Geoff Johns had just recycled great epics from the great 80s.

yeah. secret invasion. the skrull thing's making evryone paranoid...and everyone who i know who's into it are trying to backtrack as to which character had a very unusual change...i'm not sure if i have to back track since the end of the kree- skrull war or move a bit further than that...

i read a Bendis interview from newsarama and he said:

"Speaking of how some of the other characters he writes will come through the invasion, Bendis said that some won’t come through it at all, some will be completely changed – some will switch sides based on knowledge of the Skrulls, betrayals, and other reveals based not only on who is a secret agent, but what has been done. As he’s told Newsarama, Bendis reiterated that Secret Invasion #1 will feature the lineup – a “who’s who” of Skrulls and humans. “The Invasion hits very, very hard and very, very quickly, because all the pieces have been set up,” Bendis said. The writer also reiterated that in both New Avengers and Mighty Avengers, he will be rewinding the clock to show how things ended up the way they are for Secret Invasion."

can't wait for 2008

Marvel fan or not, every comics fan should check out Secret Invasion. Illuminati #5 is easily one of the best single issues I've ever read, at least in terms of building up anticipation.

Superboy, PUNCH! Since DC lost the copy right for the character, they should have just renamed him SuperEmo Prime and saved us all the trouble.

I can't really give you a clear answer about that.. But Dan Didio has said --I'm paraphrasing-- that this was all along planned as the third part of a trilogy (Identity Crisis & Infinite Crisis being the first two parts). As much as I want to get all hyped up about Final Crisis, I'm a little put-off by the weekly comic disaster newly renamed Countdown to Final Crisis. But I'm a sucker for "big events", so no matter how Countdown sucks, I know I'll still be checking out Final Crisis... But nobody on Earth-Prime can keep me from reading Secret Invasion!

Oh and yeah, just in case you didn't know, Darkseid is the big bad in FC... at least that's what we've been led to believe. Heh.
