for everyone
As The Countdown To Final Crisis slowly and agonizingly nears its end, let's take a look back at one of the best moments of FC's predecessor... Infinite Crisis! (I never thought I'd get to use the word "Crisis" so many times in one sentence. Heh)

BATMAN KNOCKS SOME SENSE INTO THE BLUE BOY SCOUT'S HEAD

"The last time you really inspired anyone.. was when you were dead"
-Batman

INFINITE CRISIS #1 of 7
Say what you will about Infinite Crisis, but it did have it's moments. In IC #1, the JLA headquarters is in shambles as the league is no more. The world is screaming for Wonder Woman's head, Batman is going crazy trying to find Brother Eye, OMACS are going on a worldwide killing spree, Oh and yeah.. The Spectre (the freakin' wrath of God!) has gone insane and murdered thousands of Magic people and obliterated Atlantis by CRUSHING IT WITH ONE HAND! Whew.. and that's just about half of what's going on.

And where is The Big Three in the midst of all this chaos? They're on the moon.. arguing. Heh.

Note: Batman's swipe at Superman has a double entendre, as it also refers to the steady decline in sales of the Superman comics ever since "booming" during his supposed death in the hands of Doomsday

that scene was awesome. but in the end the story got ruined by emo-superboy(now superman)-prime.

#1 started off everything to a very very exciting start. It was probably hard to keep up the momentum.

That line is still one of the best ones in the entire series... nay, DC comics for the past five years.

This line actually tops my most favorite one-liners list. Heh. Just out of curiosity, which other lines are you referring to? ^_^

On maintaining the momentum: This is what makes Sinestro Corps War really awesome. It was high-octane action from the get-go up to the jaw-dropping finale. FC should take a page from that storyline and do something similar, if not try to surpass SCW(lol fat chance) if they can manage it.

Edit: I just noticed the typos on the watermarks. Oops lol. I won't be changing it anymore.. too lazy ^_^

Saw the box set of the toys based on this at Mega. Nice. Made me want to read the arc.

is the TPB out yet?

I loved Infinite Crisis. Geoff continued to hit home runs with Sinestro Corp. War.

But in both, Superboy-Prime (or Superman-Prime as they call him now due to the Siegel lawsuit) continues to infuriate me. How long will this douche-bag get away with his crimes? I hope when someone finally puts him down for the count, they put him down hard for all the Titans and Lanterns he killed.

Of course we all know at this point that Superman-Prime is actually an allegory on all the internet fanboy who whine about the "old days" and how insane they could get on the message boards. While there is the internet, there will be Prime, I think.
thehumancomet wrote on Jan 23
Good point: maybe he is a metaphor for the die-hard old-school fanboys. But on the other hand, he really needs to get his arse kicked hard for all the evil things he's done.

Plus anyone notice that like a lot of arrogant people, Prime thinks he knows what's best since he's lived through it? hehe. Someone, please. Kill him already.

@jepster: Vol. #1 comes out February, Vol. #2 in April, and the collected specials (including GL 18-20 plus Secret Files) will be out in June. All will be released in the middle of the month, give or take a couple of days. ^_^

On SBP: I never really saw him as anything more than just a squandered opportunity by DC to create the ultimate badass villain.. mainly because of poor character develpment. But that's me.. Heh.

I'm still waiting for someone to put SuperEmo Prime out of his misery.
karthikcg wrote on Jan 29
Nah, Goeff Johns has said that Superbrat prime will be the protagonist of the next story arc he is Planning, so no one is putting him out of his misery anytime soon.(Not even Monarch, who basically put an a**-kicking on heroes from across the multiverse)

"I'll Kill You! I'll Kill You To DEATH!!!" --LoL. Looks like I have a new favorite one-liner. For the briefest of moments, this actually made me forget how annoying SBP's been ever since he came back from paradise. I'll HAVE to post that panel sometime. Heh. Funny stuff.
