cypocalypse wrote on Jan 29, '08
The bookends are even more expensive than the books they bind.

hmmm...note to my kids:

one of you better be a writer, the other an illustrator, and the last a sculptor...then your future's made...

@mrpig: As awesome as the GL bookends were.. it instantly dropped a notch in my wish-list when I saw these babies. ^_^

@cypocalypse: Funny you mention this, I was just thinking about it last night. If you get it in TPB's yeah.. but if you complete the absolute series (4 volumes for just under $100 a pop).. the books would still be slightly more expensive than the bookends. Heh. Forgive my geeky-impulse to mention that tiny detail.

Definitely a wallet-buster.. but hey, you'll also be getting a nice little paper that says Certificate of Authenticity (in color!) with it.. lol.

It feels like I'm going to spend money just for the CoA. Hehehe...

Not to brag or anything, but I got an Absolute Sandman vol.1 for roughly $2 around 2 months ago :p

Absolute Sandman for 2 effin bucks? I hate you. Hahahahahahaha!
comicbookgeek wrote on Jan 30, '08
Whaat? HoWhereWhen? I don't have to do any weird sexual favors to get it right? Because that would be... okay. LoL.

Distracted employees, misplaced pricetags and a virgin sacrifice.
comicbookgeek wrote on Feb 1, '08
This would be the perfect entry for a "you offered yourself as sacrifice?" crack.. but nope.. not gonna say it! But really, how were you able to get one for soooo cheap? Heh.

@jepster: LoL. Relax man, Vol. 3 doesn't come out until May ^_^

UPDATE: Here's a recent photo of the bookends that will hopefully give you a better idea on how they will look like from the comfort of your own shelf.. Also, take a peek at The Sandman Absolute Statue.

cypocalypse wrote on Feb 22, '08
Just a question guys.

Which local bookstore in Metro Manila offers Absolute Sandman the cheapest?
comicbookgeek wrote on Feb 23, '08, edited on Feb 28, '08
Hmm.. all the bookstores I know pretty much have it around the same price range.. give or take a few hundred. But if you have a friend who's coming from the states anytime soon, I think they're selling Absolute Sandman in Amazon.com for $62US.. free shipping!
