for everyone

This is a growing compilation of the "Who Do You Trust" promo images released by Marvel in anticipation of Secret Invasion. It features Skrull-ified versions of the different heroes in the Marvel U. Click and scroll away geeks!

While we're at it, here's a promotional video made by Marvel (Surprise, more SI). Hurrmm.. I guess it's an okay vid.. They tried to make it look home-made ala BlairWitch Project. The voice they used is kinda Meh. And.. okay fine, it's a lame video.

I wonder if this is how they are going to bring Captain America back from the dead... saying that it was actually a Skrull that was killed instead of the real guy...

Not me... I love the Marvel Comics, but most of their the movies suck...

I didn't know The Secret Invasion is this interesting as I used to ignore it from my Marvel Newsletter and RSS feed. This is exciting!

I don't think/sincerely hope that it this isn't how they bring Cap back...that'd be a waste of a really great story o.o besides, his corpse didn't go skrull-y after his death like how Elektra's did

I don't think that's Jean Grey, It's Ms Marvel.

@quiksub0

I don't know man... it seems like marvel drops the ball when it comes the big screen, look at ghost rider, blade 2 & 3, the fantasic four, X-men (all) etc...

Unfortunately not - Marvel outright stated, I believe, that Iron Man was not a Skrull. Sigh.

I've actually got an entry on my blog listing some of my thoughts on who might be a Skrull. It's not complete by any means, and I'll probably post more when I get back from London at the end of the month.

Sorry - I'll stop plugging now.

After reading One More Day, I can happily conclude that Mephisto is a Skrull. Why? Because there is no way in hell any half-decent lord of hell would be interested in ruining someone's marriage. hahahahahaaha!

Seriously, though, those are great teasers. Were these done by Greg Horn?

Here's another theory:

The Skrulls only replace the females (i.e. Elektra, etc.)
krumpff wrote on Mar 13
Here's yet another:

Were Skrulls naturally shapeshifters since the dawn of time? Why haven't they shapeshifted their way to Earth a long time ago?

They've confirmed a few who aren't - Cobalt Man, the Revolutionary, and some guy named Brother McNally or whatever.

My bet is....Lyja. Yep, she has to be a Skrull.

Lyja IS already a Skrull.

This has been bugging me for a while now.. Heh. Here goes.. When was Black Bolt replaced? Was the BB who got clobbered in WWH a Skrull? Is the BB who received one of the Infinity Gems (Space gem) the real one? Any thoughts, geeks?

P.S. The Space Gem allows the bearer to exist in any or all locations. It can also move any object in the universe and warp or rearrange space. How disastrous would it be if Skrull-bolt was the one that they gave the gem to? It would've made their invasion a much easier one if it were so.. But wait, if the Skrulls have the space gem, why don't they just send all the Marvel heroes to the center of the Sun or something? Whew.. just thinking out loud. ^_^

Sorry pao! Had to delete the comment.. gigantic images mess up Multiply's weird layout (I'm OC like that.. can't help it). Anyhoo, if you look closely, you'd notice that the header I used for this post is a cropped image of that Secret Invasion Teaser. You'd also be glad to know that it was drawn by Filipino comicbook artist, Leinil Yu. He will also be the artist for the whole Secret Invasion miniseries. ^_^

The SI teaser image was also previously featured here

Anybody else notice how the recent Skrullified heroes look much nastier than the first ones? It's as if Joe Q told Greg Horn to make them look more villain-ish.

UPDATE: Okay fine, it's a bit of late update. This is for those who haven't seen these images yet. Cap and Spidey joins the fray of Greg Horn's Skrull-tastic art!

On Cap: This is my new favorite from the bunch. Awesome awesome Skrull Cap Drawing.
On Spidey: This one's kinda Meh. Still, I like it more than the early Skrulls (Skrullcules???)

I wanna see a Jarvis Skrull by Greg Horn! lol

u guys still remember the way HeroesReborn ended? (the Marvel and Image universes merged) same concept right? i mean, in terms of infiltration. skrulls/ daemonites replacing heroes/ villains... and IronMan was a skrull impostor there... hmm.
thehumancomet wrote on Apr 9
I'm pretty sure the Skrull Cap in SI isn't Steve. Brubaker said so and I'd like to think Bendis is smart enough not to mess with a great book.

I really hope that Captain Marvell isn't a skrull...I've been following Brian Reed's mini-series and the writing is excellent.

Have you all picked up your copies of Secret Invasion #1? I'm rereading mine. It's not bad. Almost as fun as Bendis' Secret War.
comicbookgeek wrote on Apr 9
@thehumancomet: I would swim in Pasig River naked for a whole day if the Cap that came out the ship is Steve. lol

I feel the same with Captain Marvel.. Bendis still hasn't confirmed anything right? The attack on the Thunderbolts was pretty open-ended.. could it be just a red-herring?

i know. Talk about One More Day, take 2.

I'm eagerly awaiting issue # 5 of the Captain Mar-vell mini-series. Mar-vell is struggling with the possibility that he may be a Skrull sleeper agent, though he's fighting hard against the conspiracy and the possible truth at the same time. Here's a thought: what if Mar-vell is not a Skrull, and the reason he took out the Thunderbolts is that because he knows one of the T-Bolts IS a sleeper agent? Who'd look for a Skrull on a team of evil people? Lol

You know what, this is probably actually the case. Captain Marvel attacking the Thunderbolts with nothing being said and without his issue of being a Skrull is resolved in his own miniseries. Now that I think more about it, it's highly unlikely that Mar-vell is a Skrull.. I mean, how weird would it be that they have a miniseries about Captain Marvel without the actual character being in it. Heh.

Personally, I hope Captain Marvel's not a skrull. After the way they completely botched his return during Civil War, I kinda feel like Joe Q owes it to the fans to not have them rejoice over a character who turns out to be another red herring for 'Secret Invasion'. Brian Reed's writing is fantastic, and the grand conspiracy behind who Capt. Marvel is makes for compelling reading. Now, like you said, if it turns out that I've been following a great series only to learn it's NOT Marvel after all, well,...I'll definitely be pissed.

Remember a few years back when they turned Alicia Masters, who was then married to Johnny Storm, into a Skrull named Lyja? That was horrible story-telling with absolutely no foreshadowing that was probably done to return Johnny to his playboy roots. I hated that story and I hate it now. Of course, that was rehashed years later into what would become infamously known as "One More Day." hahahaha!!
thehumancomet wrote on Apr 10

True, true. And even before OMD, there was the Ben Reilly Spider-clone fiasco, where they told us readers that the Spidey we grew up with was a clone all the while....the JERKS. No wonder so many of my friends stopped reading when they heard that. hahahaha Someone tell Joe Q not to sink the boat already...
comicbookgeek wrote on Apr 10

LoL yeah. But what I'm trying to say is: Most of the B.S. storytelling happens in the the ongoings. This on the other hand, is a 5-issue miniseries. I just think it's totally gonna be ludicrous if he's a Skrull.. especially when the TPB comes out.. I can just imagine the synopsis at the back of the book:

Witness the 5-issue collection chronicling the return of Captain Marvel to the MU.........NOT! lolz!
