A 10-minute Preview of The Upcoming Batman Anime

Batman: Gotham Knight is a direct-to-DVD six-part anthology film that bridges the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It is anticipated that the release will be at least 2-3 weeks before the worldwide premiere of The Dark Knight.

Villains revealed: Deadshot, Scarecrow, Killer Croc

Director: Bruce Timm (F*ck Yeah!)
Writers: Alan Burnett, Josh Olsen, Greg Rucka, David S, Goyer, Brian Azzarello, & Jordan Goldberg.
Release Date: July 8, 2008

A few of the Japanese animation companies that will work on the segments will be Madhouse (Death Note), Studio 4*C, and Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell)

This is looking really, really good. Gotham City looks awesome in anime. I can't wait for summer! What's better than a Batman movie? TWO Batman movies that's what!

But wait, it doesn't stop there! Here are the awesomely geektastic extras included in the two-disc special edition DVD and Blu-Ray:

**Batman and Me a Devotion of Destiny: The Bob Kane Story - The comprehensive chronology of the remarkable life of the creator of Batman.
**A Mirror for the Bat: The Evil Denizens of Gotham City - A stimulating documentary covering Gotham City's most nefarious of characters, combined with a look into the symbiotic relationship Batman shares with his enemies.
**Batman: The Animated Series Bonus Episodes - Bruce Timm selects his favorite episodes from Batman: The Animated Series.
**Sneak Peek: Wonder Woman - DC Universe animated original movie
**Audio Commentary - Featuring the filmmakers of Gotham Knight.

Supes is pretty cool but I think Batman suits the anime format much better.

Anyway, I decided not to post the downloadable version. Unless someone specifically requests for it.. the file is about 70MB.

batman-schmatman...they should've just done a wonder woman anime since they can't do a real live action one...

Actually I think this is one of the better ideas of DC (that's not saying a lot though).. But a WW anime would be awesome as well.. ^_^
