A Brand Spankin' New Iron Man Trailer. Plus! Stills from the upcoming summer blockbuster

Director Jon Favreau's cameo in the movie. Iron Man hits theatres May 2, 2008

This trailer debuted last night during the airing of the latest episode of LOST in the ABC network. Some of the footage in the new trailer have already been seen in past ads but there are also lots of never-before seen clips. Tune in & enjoy geeks!

What we get from the new trailer:
*An awesome clip of Tony Stark testing weapons for the military
*More Gwyneth Paltrow and Terrence Howard in their roles as Pepper Potts & Jim Rhodes
*More Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane (Is it just me, or does he resemble John Malkovich in some of the scenes?)
*A brief but incredibly geektastic glimpse at the Iron Man vs. Iron Monger face-off!

MOVIE STILLS

FROM LEFT: Jon Favreau's cameo, More armor testing, Tony Stark partying with the ladies.

Looks like they fixed the tankbusting scene from the last teaser. At least it didn't look like a video game anymore. And it seems that it's Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger that's going to be the villain and not the rumored Mandarin. Okay pa rin. :)

@keiuy: As far as I know, It's set for a release date of May 2, 2008 in the Philippines as well. Which incidentally means we'll be able to see the movie at least 12 hours ahead of North America. Heh.

Whoah! that was an amazing trailer and i love the part with the explosion on his back. Robert Downing Jr. is a very good choice as Iron Man. I'm rooting for this movie. May 2? it's 2 days earlier on my birthday.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a big , big , big reason to root for it even more.

Btw thanks for uploading this video. The production sure is big and it'll no doubt be a big hit.

We're lucky enough if an Avengers movie is produced. I don't think that a live-action CW will ever be made.. an animated adaptation is more likely.. but it's probably just going to be a compressed version of the original.. which would probably suck.. unless they make it into a series of DVDs.. now THAT would be awesome.. He He.

Sold! That rocks!

Yeah. You're right. CW live action movie may be impossible, but an Avengers live action movie could be somethng we can look forward to seeing. They made 3 X-Men movies, why not an Avenger one.
comicbookgeek wrote on Mar 7
I thought the X-movies were good enough. But because of the high number of heroes and limited amount of time, good solid characterization was restricted only to a chosen few *cough*Wolverine*cough*.. the rest was just mentioned in passing and given only a few minutes to shine. While this worked in the X-Men, it's gonna be a lot harder to use the same style in an Avengers movie... or a JLA movie for that matter.
